Tofu Scramble

  • ½ onion
  • ½ green bell pepper
  • 1 block tofu (drained and pressed)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  1. Press 1 block of tofu for 20m or more.

  2. Chop ½ onion and ½ green bell pepper.

  3. Heat a little oil in a large wok or frying pan and sauté the chopped onion and pepper for a few minutes until softened.

  4. Add the block of tofu and use a wooden fork to break it up to the consistency you like. Cook for 3-5m, stirring frequently.

  5. Next, add:

    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp onion powder
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • ½ tsp turmeric
  6. With the heat on medium, cook 5-7m more, stirring frequently and adding a bit more oil if needed.

  7. Finally, add the nutritional yeast and stir to combine well and make sure that your tofu is well coated.
